Hello wanderers, adventurers & vacationers,
Planning a road trip to Portugal beginning of September, I will be driving from Britain to the very end of Portugal. I am planning some outdoor & wild camp stops since there are loads of camping spots but a nice & comfy place every 3 stops sounds like a good idea. I was searching some place to stay while after spending few days in Lisbonne and on the road to Faro … Comporta was on my bucket list.
CABANAS NO RIO IS 1 HOUR SOUTH FROM LISBON IN COMPORTA.
THIS REGION IS KNOWN FOR THE MAGNIFICENT WHITE SANDY BEACHES,
THE WINE, FRESH FISH AND THE BEAUTIFUL RICE PADDIES.
The Cabanas no Rio is a project of the architect Manuel Aires Mateus, to recover two old fisherman huts.
The cabins are planted along the river margins and have a small pontoon over the water,
with stunning views of the surrounding nature of Sado.
In the 1st cabin is the bedroom with a bathroom. The shower has the particularity of being able to be used both outdoors and indoor.
In the 2nd cabin is the living room, it has a small kitchen equipped to prepare simple meals.
THE TWO SMALL HUTS HAVE ABOUT 14 SQUARE METERS EACH WITH CAPACITY FOR 2 PEOPLE.
There is a kayak ‘parked’ on the potoon to be used by the guest free of charge. Free wi-fi & iPod dock. 😉
If you fancy that place, read more about it on Cabanas No Rio.
Want to now more, visit Cabanas No Rio.
Have the best of it out there…
Love
